San Francisco 49ers Cannot Stop ‘Beast Mode’
The Seattle Seahawks dominated the San Francisco 49ers in a 29-3 Sunday night victory. Seahawks running back Marshawn ‘Beast Mode’ Lynch showed that his performance this season will determine how much success they have.
Lynch has been amazing in his last two seasons with the Seahawks, rushing for 2,794 yards and 23 touchdowns. When ‘Beast Mode’ is playing at an elite level, it is very tough to defeat the Seahawks. Quarterback Russell Wilson can take advantage of defenses trying to stack the box to stop Lynch by torching the secondary.
Lynch was able to find running lanes in the dominant 49ers defensive front, which allowed him to rush for 98 yards and two touchdowns. He also had three receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown. When he is playing at an elite level, it allows the defense to play more aggressively. 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick had trouble find open receivers because the Seahawks frequently blitzed players.
Kaepernick did so poorly that he threw for just 127 yards and three interceptions.
Lynch’s great performances also increases the confidence of the rest of the team. Everyone on the team seems to step up their game to another level when they see him performing at an elite level. Teammates do not want Beast Mode to be mad at them for costing them the game, so they try really hard to win for him.
The Seahawks are clearly one of the best, if not the best, teams in the NFC. If Lynch can continue to perform at an elite level, then the Seahawks will have a great chance to play in Super Bowl XLVIII.
