Oh, Kenny Britt. How you never cease to amaze football fans around the country. You can’t really question his talent and physical abilities, but you really have to wonder what’s going on between this guy’s ears. It’s no secret to Tennessee Titans fans that Britt is in the final year of his contract with the team. But just in case they forget, Britt took to Twitter on Tuesday to give an update on his status for next year:

I don’t expect Britt to act professionally after some of his past behavior, but it just seems like a good common sense move to keep your mouth shut when it comes to contract negotiations. Everything he’s saying is probably spot on, but there’s still no reason to tweet it out. Throwing your employer under the bus is usually not the best way to get a raise.

Cook was of course not re-signed by the Titans this past offseason, presumably due to the amount of money he wanted. One could guess that Britt is also falling into that category. I wouldn’t blame the Titans if they let him walk, because the WR hasn’t really done much worth noting since his nine-touchdown season in 2010. So far in 2013, Britt has five catches for 43 yards.
