Usually when people fall on hard times, they move back in with their parents. Von Miller, however, reportedly had his parents move in with him. The Pro Bowl linebacker hasn’t fallen on hard financial times by any means, but he is currently losing out on some serious dough following a six-game suspension from the NFL. His behavior and habits led to his ban for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, so the call to have his parents come stay with him, was a good one. We all know it’s tough to misbehave in front of your mom.

It’s not like Miller is down to his last chance, but another violation of the substance abuse policy will likely end his 2013 season before it begins.

On top of his parents monitoring him, it’s also being reported that the LB is now meeting with a Denver Broncos‘ employee each day to make sure he’s aloting his time properly. I interpret this to be a Dez Bryant-situation, where the team is basically keeping an eye on him nearly 24/7. Who can blame them? Miller is an absolute beast on the gridiron.

It’s time for him to start showing some maturity and focusing on his career. We’ve all seen players that were ulta-talented that just couldn’t get it together off the field and those stories are just sad. Here’s to hoping Miller doesn’t become one of those guys.
