Cleveland Browns Trading Trent Richardson To Indianapolis Colts Proves Once Again That They Are Clueless

The Cleveland Browns announced earlier today that they have traded star running back Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts for a first-round pick in next years’ draft.

Wait, what?

At first, to my dismay, I thought this was a very early April Fools joke, but then I realized, this is the Browns.

Something had to have been going on with Richardson and the head coach and that he wanted out. There is no other reason for this trade except for something internal. Even if that was the case, though, I would have fired the coach instead of trading my only talented player.

Sorry Browns fans, but quarterback Brandon Weeden is just… well… not good. And even the Browns know that, with Brian Hoyer starting this week.

But maybe that is why they made this trade, so that they can draft a quarterback and running back in the first round of next year’s draft. While a possibility, I doubt it because, once again, it’s the Browns.

Plus, for arguments sake, let’s say the Colts have a decent year, which I believe they will be over .500 and be one of the two wildcards in the AFC. So, now the trade can very well be a late first rounder for Richardson, who by the way, the Browns drafted third overall just a year ago.

Just a bonehead and clueless decision on the Browns part, and what an absolute steal for the Colts. Richardson will not only make second-year quarterback Andrew Luck feel more comfortable in the pocket, but now with the dual threat of a running game led by Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw, the Colts will now be a significantly better team, and in a weak AFC, I would even go out on a limb and say the Colts have just locked up a playoff spot this season with this trade.

I mean, what else can I possibly say other than, it’s the Browns.
