J.J. Watt Labeled as A “Bad Guy” For the First Time In His Career
It has been fun to see J.J. Watt‘s popularity skyrocket in the recent years. Rarely does a defensive end find himself in so many commercials, but Watt has earned his rise to fame and definitely enjoys the limelight. However, being a face of the NFL like Watt is comes with its downsides as well. For instance, the Tennessee Titans center Rob Turner tried to expose a side of Watt that the average fan may or may not know about.
Turner was flagged for a cut-back block in Sunday’s game, but the exchange between Watt and the Titans’ center is rather foggy to say the least. Houston’s defensive end opened his mouth after the game about the hit and said the play was “absolutely” dirty. In addition, Watt said he confronted Turner about the incident during the game.
However, Turner says that he and the Houston Texans‘ star had no such encounter and that Watt “wouldn’t even look at me, and I don’t have a problem if you put that in print.” Apparently, Turner was apologizing and Watt didn’t even have the courtesy to even acknowledge the Titans’ center. Well, this might be the first time that No. 99 has been called a flat-out punk by the opposition.
Of course, this isn’t the kind of publicity that the Texans want stemming from the face of their franchise.
