Dallas Cowboys: St. Louis Rams Presents Trouble for Cowboys Secondary
Another week means another team to prepare for. This week it’s the St. Louis Rams. A team who potentially presents a lot of trouble for the Dallas Cowboys secondary, a problem in which the Cowboys have had plenty of trouble in the last few years.
Though they had four interceptions in Week 1, they had zero in Week 2, a concern for the coaching staff, ownership and fans alike. With a pass-happy Sam Bradford, Dallas could be in for a guns blazing shootout. If that’s the case, you may want to look at other starting defenses in your Fantasy league.
Along with the third-year Bradford, the Rams are very young team. With new additions to the WR core in Tavon Austin, a new starting tailback in Daryl Richardson and the departure of Steven Jackson, this matchup could just be an easy win for the more experienced Cowboys.
With the new-look 4-3 defense in Dallas, look for the Cowboys to stop the run, thus putting the game in the air and forcing Brandon Carr, Morris Claiborne and the rest of the secondary to make big plays on the ball.
This secondary stepping up is the priority this week and the challenge will be accepted by Carr and company. Bradford has been known to make mistakes. With this game in Dallas, I see the Cowboys forcing three or more turnovers, two of which will come from interceptions.
A bounce-back win will is in order for the boys wearing silver and blue in Big D. Looking to get back to more run plays and the defense forcing turnovers, look for the Cowboy to cover the line (-3.5). I see this being a lopsided game and a victory by double-digits.
