Move over Plaxico Burress. If you think shooting yourself in the leg with your own gun is dumb, then Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones‘ recent altercation is on a whole new level.  Jones and a few unidentified Ravens players were out on a party bus celebrating teammate Bryant McKinnie‘s  34th birthday around 3:00 a.m. ET Monday, when a fight broke out between some of the passengers. Jones was eventually struck in the head with an Ace of Spades champagne bottle. Emergency personnel were called to the scene, but no arrests were made, according to a report by

Ironically, the person who struck Jones in the head was a stripper by the name of Sweet Pea. Apparently, Sweet Pea did not get along with some of Jones’ teammates, which was part of the reasoning behind the brawl. Jones, who is already rehabbing a sprained MCL, now has to worry about an additional head injury for the time being.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh did confirm that this unfortunate event occurred, but by no means was amused, as this kind of thing is not something you want to list in the weekly injury reports.

“I’m not very impressed personally with the report,” Harbaugh said. “It’s not something we want to be known for. We’d like to think it’s not something those guys would want to be known for. It’s nothing to be proud of, so I’m kind of disappointed in that sense.”

Despite this minor media hiccup with Jones, the Ravens did have a good weekend, as they handily beat the Houston Texans 30-9 on Sunday. The Ravens organization can only hope this will be the last of any off-field shenanigans to report for this season.
