The Denver Broncos come in as an 11.5 to 12-point favorite over the heavy underdog Philadelphia Eagles. Sometimes this can work to a team’s detriment. The Broncos are a 3-0 football team and deserve an award for style points. They have looked very impressive in their three wins.
They have not just beaten teams they have destroyed them. We have seen this from teams in the past. They beat their own chest and feel like they should be worshiped. Sometimes a team can pay too much attention to their own headlines. If the Broncos go into their home stadium in Denver on Sunday and feel like they can just show up, strap their helmets on and win the football game, they may be in for a rude awakening.
Across the field is another top offense in the Philadelphia Eagles. They are second behind the Broncos in total yards. They have moved the ball up and down the field. If it weren’t for some costly turnovers and self-inflicted wounds, the Eagles could possibly be the top offense in the league. Dangerous weapons are all over the field from the Quarterback position on down including Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson.
This isn’t the type of game that the Broncos should easily look past. If they under estimate their opponent, it could spell an upset. Despite, all this, I don’t see the savvy minded, all-time great quarterback Peyton Manning looking past the Eagles. He knows the type of challenge they present on the offensive side of the football.
Expect to see both team’s best in a track meet for the ages. It could be a four-round boxing match between two juggernaut offenses. Who’s left standing? The team that wants it the most on that given Sunday.
