Philadelphia Eagles vs Denver Broncos: Philadelphia Offense Needs To Show Up

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

There is one way the Philadelphia Eagles will pull off the upset of the year. The offense needs to light up the scoreboard. They don’t just need to rack up yards. They need to score points and in bunches.

We all know that the Denver Broncos offense is running like a well-oiled machine right now. The Eagles need to match that efficiency and I believe they have the horses to do it. LeSean McCoy is playing like a man on a mission right now. He is running with authority, making people miss with his breath taking moves, and making pro defenders look like they belong in peewee. He is the ultimate weapon who will need to see the ball a ton for the Eagles to pull of the major upset.

DeSean Jackson is also going to have to come up with a bigger effort than he did last week. Overall on the season, he has still started off with a bang, as right now he is third in the league in receiving yards. Jackson should be able to take advantage of a shaky Broncos secondary that ranks 19th in the league against the pass.

This game has all the makings of a track meet. Neither offense has been totally contained so far this season. I don’t see that changing in this game. The key for the Eagles will be playing bend but don’t break defense and limiting the damage on the scoreboard. If they afford the offense an opportunity, the Eagles have a chance to shock the world on Sunday.
