Season Can't Get Much Worse For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are not a good football team this year. Simple as that. The season really cannot get much worse for them.

I guess Tampa Bay could lose the rest of its games, but it is already 0-4 on the season. The team has scored a combined 44 points in its first four games. The Denver Broncos scored 52 points in their last game.

The Buccaneers even managed to lose to the New York Jets. Not to mention, Josh Freeman was benched and rookie quarterback Mike Glennon started last game, which resulted in a loss as I am sure you could have guessed.

The Buccaneers have played the New England Patriots and the New Orleans Saints, which were two teams that they were expected to lose to. However, losing to the Jets and the Arizona Cardinals is not exactly ideal. The Cardinals are 2-2 on the season, though, so I will give them that.

Freeman and Glennon have combined for three touchdown passes and five interceptions. The team is ranked 31st in passing yards per game (174.3). With that said, Tampa Bay has to find a solution at the QB position and it has to find it fast.

Freeman was a solid QB last season, throwing for 4,065 yards and 27 touchdown passes.

Luckily, the team will have a bye week and boy did it need it. The Buccaneers desperately need a victory. To be fair, they have lost three of their games by a combined six points. The game against New England was a blowout, but the other three could have been wins just as easily as they turned out to be losses.

Something has to give at the quarterback position, though, and hopefully the Buccaneers can solve that during their bye week. If not it could be a really long season for this team.
