With the New York Giants not exactly thriving in their first four games — on either side of the ball — the team is searching for answers. At 0-4, the Giants could be called the worst team in all of football at the moment.

Giving up 36.5 points per game, the Giants boast one of the most embarrassing defensive units in the entire NFL. New York has had a rough time stopping anybody defensively, but it has been most apparent in their lack of run defense. The Giants rank 28th heading into week five, giving up over 122 yards on the ground per game.

Well, it looks like New York is going to try and change that by making a notable move real soon here. Jay Glazer is reporting a deal in the works for Carolina Panthers linebacker Jon Beason to be sent on over to the G-Men.

There have also been rumors about wide receiver Hakeem Nicks being moved over the past week or so, and some speculated whether he will be involved in this potential trade. But, Glazer seems to believe otherwise.

If the Giants were to get a guy like Beason, he could be someone to come in right away and contribute defensively. Beason has had a tough time staying healthy the last couple of years and was benched this season in favor of Chase Blackburn, but he believes if he can get healthy he’ll be able to help a defense out in a big way.
