New Orleans Saints Use Balanced Attack to Stay Undefeated at 5-0
Another week, another impressive win for the New Orleans Saints. The Saints left the dome to play outdoors at Soldier Field on Sunday and still defeated the Chicago Bears 26-18. This was a big win for the Saints because they remained undefeated at 5-0 and Drew Brees won for the first time in his career at Soldier Field.
The Saints’ offense looked great as Brees threw two touchdowns and Garrett Hartley connected on all four of his field goal attempts. Furthermore, Jimmy Graham continued his awesome play as he caught 10 passes for 135 yards. The Saints’ offense was on fire, but the defense showed up again for the team.
The Saints’ defense has been one of the most impressive units in the NFL this season as they held the Bears to just 18 points. The pass rush played very well as they sacked Jay Cutler three times and constantly pressured him. Also, the secondary was able to make some key stops as the Bears failed to convert some big third and fourth downs.
This game might have been the most impressive outing for the Saints this season because they played such a balanced game. Everything was clicking for the Saints and they are looking like the hottest team in the NFL.
Next week the Saints travel to Gillette Stadium to take on Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. The Patriots suffered their first defeat on Sunday and will be looking to get back on track next week against the Saints. The game figures to be a shootout, but the difference will be the Saints’ defense. If the defense shows up again they could easily go 6-0 next week.
