Pink Hat New England Patriots Fans Cannot Make Up Their Minds

The New England Patriots were 4-0 coming into Week 5 against the Cincinnati Bengals, and after beating the Atlanta Falcons on the road, all the Patriots fans were praising the team for the win and the performance they were getting on offense from a young and inexperienced group. \

Week 5 has come and gone, and the Patriots lost an ugly game in Cincinnati to bring them to 4-1, which is not bad at all after five games. But after only one week, all the fans on sports radio are calling in and jumping ship once again.

The Patriots right now are on a pace for about 12 or 13 wins, which is exactly where they finish pretty much every year, that will be plenty good to get them in the playoffs. These fans that are up in arms and ready to blow up the team need to take a breath and relax. Nobody expected this team to go undefeated and every team has bad games.

The Patriots have a tough matchup at home next week against the New Orleans Saints, but the schedule gets a lot easier after that. With the offense getting key players back in Danny Amendola and hopefully Rob Gronkowski in Week 6, the Patriots are only going to get better as the season moves on.

Fans need to realize that teams are going to lose, and most teams will struggle at some point during an NFL season. If the Patriots play their worst football earlier in the season, that means they will only get better as the season goes on. The fans sound like the Patriots are 0-5 like the New York Giants, but being 4-1 after five games is very good for how the offense has looked.

This is nothing new in New England, regardless of the sport — fans always panic for no reason, but they need to stop jumping ship when the team in first place in the division and on pace to cruise to the playoffs.
