Six weeks have gone and the Denver Broncos are getting their pass rusher back.
Von Miller has completed his six-game suspension for a drug-related issue and has rejoined the team. One of the most feared linebackers in the last couple years, Miller will look to pick up where he left off last season. His return will certainly help give the Broncos the pass rusher that they have needed. The Broncos are in a good position to be at 6-0 with Miller returning. But the question is, how will he impact the Broncos and how long will he take to make a change to the defense that has been borderline questionable this season?
With as young as Miller is, it should not take long for him to cause nightmares to the opposing quarterbacks. But being out of the game from a suspension can impact a player mentally. If Miller is smart, he will not let the suspension get to him, and he appears to be taking the right step as he wants to earn the trust of the Broncos’ locker room back. This was a mature thing of Miller, but it will take a lot more than words to gain the trust back.
As long as Miller stays out of trouble, which he will be monitored closely for a very long time, then his actions on and off the field should help out in the long run. It will take some time for Miller to get adjusted but with as skilled as this young player is, it should not take him long to make an immediate difference to the Broncos defense and hopefully reverse the defense’s fortune from one full of question marks to one that will be feared by offensive coordinators, even in their sleep.
