Tom Brady Has His Favorite Toy Back In Rob Gronkowski

Tight end Rob Gronkowski has finally been cleared to return to action, and there is one man who couldn’t be happier: Tom Brady. Brady has been getting it done the past six weeks with a collection of unknown commodities which include undrafted and rookie players like Kenbrell Thompkins and Aaron Dobson.

It is simply incredible what Brady has done with so little this season in leading the New England Patriots to a 5-1 record. The Patriots would still love to be a lot more efficient in the red zone, and the one man that solves all those woes is Gronkowski. Gronk is an absolute beast in the red zone accounting for a staggering 38 touchdowns in only three seasons.

He is a monster mismatch on opposing safeties and linebackers. He has been Brady’s security blanket when the play breaks down the past few seasons, and Brady will be thrilled to see No. 87 back in the huddle after a prolonged absence.

It comes none to soon either as the Patriots head into a road divisional tilt against the New York Jets. If they win you can pretty much hand the Patriots the division. It would give them a three-game cushion with a relatively easy second half schedule, and I just don’t see any other team in the division even challenging the Pats at that point.

Regardless, Brady has his favorite weapon back. He was getting it done as only Brady does even without his best offensive toy on the field. Defenses will now have to account for Gronk’s return, and Brady will relish the opportunity to finally show people what the Pats offense is all about starting Sunday.
