5 Keys To Victory For Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys

The Philadelphia Eagles are fresh off a two-game winning streak and look to take control in the NFC East. It looked pretty grim for Chip Kelly in his first season and his Eagles team for a while. The Eagles fell to 1-3 after getting shellacked by the Denver Broncos and their season looked to be on life support.

Just the cure for that? The New York Giants. The Eagles went into Met Life Stadium and beat them in mostly dominant fashion as the Eagles pulled to a game within .500. They then went on the road and took care of the Buccaneers as Nick Foles performed brilliantly winning NFC player of the week against a solid Bucs defense.

Foles has been the common denominator in both of their wins and frankly their turn around. Foles came on in the second half of the Giants game and frankly looked better than Quarterback Michael Vick as he picked apart the Giants weak secondary and gave the Eagles a real cushion.

Foles has been far more efficient in the red zone and running the hurry up offense than Vick. This has led to sort of a Quarterback controversy, a debate among fans as to who should be the starting Quarterback. I don't think it should be a debate after Sunday. If Foles performs well and the Eagles win, it should be his job, plain and simple.

The Eagles have a huge opportunity in front of them Sunday. First place is on the line mid way through the season in a divisional tilt vs. the Dallas Cowboys. Let's take a look at five keys to victory for the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys.

5. Nick Foles Needs To Continue His Excellence

Nick Foles has been brilliant at Quarterback the past two weeks. That needs to continue against the Dallas Cowboys in a game that looks destined to be a shoot out.

4. LeSean McCoy needs to take Advantadge Of A Below Average Cowboys Defense

LeSean McCoy is the ultimate weapon for the Eagles. He needs to take advantage of a below-average Cowboys defensive group both on the ground and in the passing game.

3. DeSean Jackson Needs To Expose The Dallas Cowboys Secondary

DeSean Jackson should be licking his chops. The Dallas Cowboys have the 31st ranked passing defense. Jackson needs to expose this on Sunday. Look for at least a few big plays from No. 10 on Sunday.

2. The Philadelphia Eagles Need To Contain Dez Bryant

The Philadelphia Eagles can't totally shut out a talent like Dez Bryant but they need to hope to contain him. Bryant has a deadly size/speed combination. The Eagles big corners like Cary Williams and Bradley Fletcher will have to get in his face, disrupt his timing, and get him off his game if this defense wants any chance at limiting the Cowboys on the scoreboard.

1. The Eagles Defense Needs To Pressure Tony Romo

The Philadelphia Eagles defense needs to get pressure on Tony Romo. They can't allow him to sit back in the pocket and survey the field with the type of weapons the Cowboys have. Romo needs to be on his back and often in this game for the Eagles to pull out a win.
