For Baltimore, they will be missing one of their inside linebackers in Josh Bynes, as he is battling a knee injury in addition to a finger injury. The Ravens also have two players listed as doubtful, as rookie center Ryan Jensen continues to struggle with a nagging foot injury and wide receiver Brandon Stokley‘s thigh injury continues to linger. Baltimore has a healthy list of questionable players this week: cornerbacks Chykie Brown and Lardarius Webb are both battling thigh injuries; defensive tackle Terrence Cody is still hampered by a knee injury; defensive tackle Haloti Ngata is dealing with an elbow issue; outside linebacker Courtney Upshaw has a foot problem and inside linebacker Albert McClellan continues to deal with a shoulder injury. Three players are listed as probable for the Ravens as they tackle the Steelers this week. Defensive lineman Chris Canty has a thigh issue, inside linebacker Jameel McClain has returned off the PUP list after dealing with a scary spinal cord injury, and defensive tackle Marcus Spears continues to play on an injured knee.
For Pittsburgh, tight end Richard Gordon is out with a toe injury and wide receiver Markus Wheaton is also out with a finger injury. Rookie linebacker Jarvis Jones is dealing with a concussion and is listed as questionable for this game. Tackle Marcus Gilbert (quad), defensive lineman Brett Keisel (abdomen), tight end Heath Miller (NIR), and linebacker LaMarr Woodley (knee) are all probable to play Sunday.
The biggest injury on Baltimore’s list has to be Bynes, as he has been the starter at the weak inside linebacker position for the Ravens through the team’s first six games. How rookie Arthur Brown is able to adjust to being more of a full-time player this week could determine how much success the Ravens have in stopping the Steelers. Also, you have to wonder how much of Jameel McClain will play, given that this is his first real action of the 2013 NFL season.
