Buffalo Bills Week 7: Miami Dolphins’ Ryan Tannehill Is First Head Of Cerberus

Ryan Tannehill

Miami Dolphins starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill has not had the most awe inspiring numbers in his five games this year as some quarterbacks have had notably like Peyton Manning or even Tony Romo. However, he has had three wins and his completion percentage has gone up 4.3 percent from his rookie year last year and it’s likely he will throw a lot more this year as now starting and also second-year running back Lamar Miller gets up to task with the speed of the pro game as the season goes on.

Tannehill has several targets to throw the ball to including route running maven Brian Hartline and home run hitting Mike Wallace, but more on them later. What will help the Dolphins passing attack a great deal is if Buffalo Bills second-year star cornerback Stephon Gilmore is still in a big bulky cast as he was last week making his season debut after breaking his wrist in preseason. This would essentially take out his abilities to create turnovers on his own. Also it’ll be interesting if Dolphins’ offensive coordinator Mike Sherman has told Tannehill not to throw the ball over the middle to eliminate the chances of emerging star linebacker Kiko Alonso to flip the game on its head or do they try what happened last week as the Cincinnati Bengals challenged his aggressiveness. While they did win the game, Alonso put up a staggering 22 tackles in one game, which has made him the league leader and it’s not close.

All and all, it’ll be interesting to see if Ryan Tannehill looks like Weeks 1 through 3 as the team was 3-0 at the time this week or does he look more like Weeks 4 and 5 of this season where they have dropped the last two games.
