St. Louis Rams Reportedly Have Interest In Tim Tebow: Is It Crazy Enough To Work?

By Devin O'Barr

No folks, this is not a drill.

The St. Louis Rams fans saw their season flash before their eyes when Sam Bradford went down with a gruesome knee injury in Sunday’s loss to the Carolina Panthers. Now, the reports say that Bradford likely tore the ACL in his left knee, which would sideline him for at least the rest of the 2013 regular season. Moreover, the 3-4 Rams are in a dire position as Bradford was easily the best offensive player on the St. Louis roster.

Moreover, a move from Bradford to Tebow would be like swapping your 46-inch HD TV for a 18-inch TV that hasn’t worked in over three months.

I entertained the thought of the Jacksonville Jaguars taking a change on Tebow considering his Florida roots, but St. Louis making a move for the former Heisman Trophy winner is an awful idea. Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer has shown a commitment to the pass as Bradford went into Sunday’s game eighth in the NFL in pass attempts with 232. So, the Rams are going to turn to Tebow and ask him to throw the ball 40+ times a game?

This isn’t going to end well…
