Detroit Lions Will Face Huge Game Against Dallas Cowboys

With the Green Bay Packers in first place in the NFC North and expected to be favored in every single regular season game from here on out, it is imperative that the Detroit Lions defeat the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8.

The Lions dropped a critical contest against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. The loss was disappointing with everyone on the team trying to take responsibility for the effort. Even though Detroit still must go over the game film in order to fix their mistakes, the game must be put in the past so that the Lions can move on to the Cowboys.

Dallas is going to be no easy matchup. Tony Romo and the offense have been explosive this season. Not to mention, they are fighting to stay atop the NFC East, which will only prove to make the game that much harder for the Lions.

There is no question Detroit has the fire power to keep up with a Dallas offense that ranks third in the league in points per game (28.6) and second in passing touchdowns (15). The fact is the Lions have very similar offensive numbers this season, which means Sunday’s contest will be one that fans should thoroughly enjoy.

There is certainly some truth to the talk about it being a must-win game for Detroit. Even though the Lions are only one game behind the Packers in the division, Green Bay appears to be running on all cylinders. That means there is no time to fall behind, especially when the contest against the Cowboys is a great opportunity for the Lions to get back some confidence.

Johnson is definitely better than Bryant, but I’m worried because the Cowboys secondary is much better than that of the Lions. its going to be a nervous game.
