Washington Redskins vs Denver Broncos: Peyton Manning Should Feast On Weak Washington Secondary

Peyton Manning is fresh off what had to be a tough and emotional defeat to his old team. He will be feeling better after this Sunday, as the Washington Redskins come into Denver featuring one of the league’s worst secondaries.

Keep in mind that this is a defense that let back up quarterback Josh McCown hang 35 points on them after Jay Cutler went out with an injury. This is the type of defense Manning will go up against Sunday, and he should have an absolute field day.

Whatever weaknesses a secondary presents, Manning usually exploits. Lucky for him, he won’t have to choose, as there are weaknesses abound in the Redskins secondary. The corner and safety play has been flat out atrocious for them this season. Manning won’t have to look very hard to find open receivers on Sunday with the weapons the Broncos have, such as Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas and Eric Decker.

If you own a fantasy squad, I would start all these guys. Look for the Denver Broncos to bounce back in a big way at home against the Skins, as I certainly expect a rout. They have taken care of the rest of the NFC East with relative ease, and the Skins are one of the worst teams in a weak division.

The Broncos, despite their record, face a huge challenge in the AFC West, and their name is the Kansas City Chiefs. The Broncos must take care of business to stay within a game of them going into their two late season battles. This division will go down to the wire no doubt. I wouldn’t ever bet against the team with Manning on their side.
