San Francisco 49ers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Prediction

The San Francisco 49ers will be playing the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second London game this season. This could be a trap game for the 49ers because the Jaguars defense is playing well and the offense just got wide receiver Justin Blackmonback from a suspension. Jacksonville has not made any big strides in improving this season due to the fact they have not won a game all season. The 49ers will win this game, however, it will not be a “cake walk” with a 35-23 score.

To win this game, San Francisco will have to actually take this game seriously and run the football with veteran runningback Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick will have to make his usual passes to his wide-open veteran pass-catchers Vernon Davis and Anquan Boldin. The Jaguars defense was the first team to intercept a pass by quarterback Peyton Manning this season and gave the Denver Broncos a bit of a struggle in the first half of that game.

The defense should be able to play without any exotic blitzes against the Jaguars offense. Blackmon should have decent numbers, All-Pro runningback Maurice Jones-Drew could make some noise up the middle and if veteran tight end Marcedes Lewis can get a few balls, this game might be interesting for two quarters. Expect the 49ers to get a lot of sacks and tackles for a loss.

The most important 49er this week will have to be head coach Jim Harbaugh. He will have to get his team up for this game and fighting the time difference so they don’t get caught by surprise.
