Where Would Baltimore Ravens Be Without Joe Flacco?
The Baltimore Ravens sit at 3-4 on the season which is the worst start in the John Harbaugh era. The Ravens sit in their bye week with a lot of questions on offense, and most of the finger pointing on the outside seems to be going towards Joe Flacco. But where would the Ravens be without Flacco?
In these circumstances, some would argue it is a bad time to argue about Flacco’s worth, but I disagree because his worth has always been in doubt by many even though he is a Super Bowl MVP.
On so many occasions, I hear people talk about how much Flacco benefits from his defense as if it’s illegal for Flacco to play with a good defense.
Yes, the Ravens have gone through changes, and yes Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are gone. But so many people think that the Ravens are have won the majority of their games in the last six years because of their defense and Flacco had little to do with it.
I’m just curious as to why people think Flacco’s job is so easy and how they think that you could suit up any quarterback on the Ravens they would win.
The Ravens have won more playoff games with Flacco (9) than they did without him when they won five from 2000-2007.
Flacco’s resume says that regardless of how he plays, he wins. Since 2008, Flacco has more wins than any other quarterback in the NFL with 66.
History also says that it is very premature to count the Ravens out. They are the only team in the NFL to make the playoffs in each of the previous five seasons for a reason. Flacco has a lot to do with that.
