Who’s the best quarterback in the NFL? It’s always a topic of debate among football fans. You can make a solid argument for several guys in the league today, but it usually comes down to Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. For the most part, other NFL quarterbacks don’t get involved in the conversation, but Ben Roethlisberger is not your average QB.

Big Ben was recently doing a radio interview when the topic of Brady came up. Here’s what he had so say:

“To me, he’s the best quarterback in the league and he’s done it for a long time. That’s no disrespect to some of these other guys that are doing some amazing things in the NFL right now. But to me, it’s about wins and championships, and he’s got more championships than anybody.”

The Pittsburgh Steelers are of course getting set to take on the New England Patriots this Sunday, so perhaps Big Ben is trying to get in Brady’s head? Regardless of his intent, it’s not often that you hear another competitor, and a good one at that, say that someone is better than them.

As good as Roethlisberger has been during his career, he’s never really been in the best conversation. However, he does have two Super Bowl rings to show for his efforts, which I’m sure he’ll take over being called the best. Winning is all that really matters, so his argument for Brady being the best is a very valid one. We’ll have to see who steals the show this Sunday when the two QBs throw down.
