Denver Broncos Had No Need to Add Players at Trade Deadline

In a season in which barely any moves were made at the trade deadline, it is no surprise that the Denver Broncos did not make a move this week. This is a smart move because the organization believes the team has all the pieces they need in order to make a run towards the Super Bowl. The Broncos are favored to win the whole thing according to some fans and football analysts, so the team they have should be enough to get them that far.

Of course some fans would have had a fantasy in which the Broncos acquired a big-time player like Larry Fitzgerald or Jared Allen. But the Broncos have a great receiving corps, and with the emergence of some of the defensive players there was no need to bring in a veteran player. Perhaps having a running back to help Knowshon Moreno on certain downs while he receives a breather could have helped, but not making the move clarified that the organization is okay with Montee Ball and CJ Anderson splitting time.

When the trade deadline hits you always wonder what a team could acquire to make that push towards the playoffs, but the Broncos have all the tools they need in order to make such a run. Whether the tools are used correctly during the run will say a lot about how far they will get. But fans are hoping that perhaps this is finally the year that the Broncos are on top of the football world come February.
