Tomorrow, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be the visiting team to face off against the Seattle Seahawks. The Buccaneers are off to their worst start since 2009 and the future is not looking too bright for them either. The Seahawks on the other hand, are performing better than anyone with the No. 1 record in the NFC. Seattle’s offense has been high powered and fast paced with Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch manning the Quarterback and Running Back with a balanced set.
The Buccaneers have their hands full heading into this game but luckily for them, they will not have to worry about one of the Seahawks top receivers, Sidney Rice. Rice is not the Seahawks leading receptionist but he has been a red zone threat this year with three touchdowns. The Buccaneers caught a major break with the absence of Rice and with Percy Harvin‘s return still in question. With these receivers out the Seahawks will focus on Lynch more and target the Buccaneers core.
Lynch is once again a top-five leading rusher in the NFL with a total of 601, with six touchdowns and averaging just over four yards each carry. The Buccaneers rush defense was stomped in the red zone last week against the Carolina Panthers allowing touchdowns from Cam Newton and Deangelo Williams as well as a short throw to Mike Tolbert in the flats for a touchdown. Through these past three weeks, the Buccaneers have allowed 31 points each game. With the Buccaneers offense having their struggles this year their defense is going to have to keep it a low scoring game in order to get a victory.
