This May Be Tom Brady’s Last Chance For A Super Bowl With New England Patriots

David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

The fact that Tom Brady passed for more than 400 yards for the New England Patriots against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday should silence some critics who have noted that he has yet to show his ability to lead the Patriots to a Super Bowl for the fourth time.

It’s too premature to declare that Brady can win a Super Bowl for the Patriots, but the impressive victory his team posted over the Steelers indicates that Brady still has what it takes to take the team a long way. Brady, who steered his team to a Super Bowl title in three of his first four season as a starter, hasn’t led his team to the top of the NFL since 2004.

There’s still doubt among many Brady critics on whether he can have a big game against a quality team, which the Steelers are not right now. They forget about what he did against the New Orleans Saints not too long ago. His last-minute drive to save that game for the Patriots showed that he hasn’t lost his touch.

For the rest of the regular season, Brady needs to regain the confidence and on-field dominance that made him the NFL’s best quarterback not that long ago. He may not be considered the best any longer, but a Super Bowl victory could change that. Brady may have one last championship left in him. At age 36, he has to do it now.
