The Green Bay Packers meet the Chicago Bears tonight in a battle for NFC North supremacy. The oldest rivalry in the NFL looks to, once again, be a great battle as the Packers (5-2) look to keep their winning ways going against the Bears (4-3). The Bears come into the match-up banged up and looking to rebound off a loss to the Washington Redskins two weeks ago.
The Bears will be without starting quarterback Jay Cutler and have several key players inactive on the defense. They will be tested in many ways throughout the game and if the Bears have a chance in the game, they will have to slow down a Packers’ offense that has been firing on all cylinders lately. Unfortunately for the Bears, it seems the Packers will get another offensive weapon back on the field.
Starting wide receiver James Jones has missed the last two games for the Packers with a knee injury, but has gone through the medical process and looks to have recovered. He is believed to be ready for the game tonight. He may be on a limited snap count, but regardless, when he is on the field, he is a threat.
Jones’ return to the field will add another spark to an offense that has been on a roll lately. The Packers have had a great balance in the past few weeks and with guys like Aaron Rodgers, Eddie Lacy and Jordy Nelson clicking, the offense seems to be unstoppable.
Any weapons the Packers can get back on the offensive side will only add to their depth and if Jones can play tonight, look for him to be successful in any role he plays.
