Is there a team in the NFL that knows how to lose better than the Buffalo Bills? I sat and watched this game Sunday curled up on a couch with a cup of coffee and left over Halloween candy and could not turn it off. It was like watching a train wreck. Every time the Bills showed promise they managed to just give it away — literally give it away.
At one point I honestly thought the Bills were going to end the Kansas City Chiefs‘ undefeated run. Then I was reminded that there is no team that can lose like the Bills. Third string quarterback Jeff Tuel threw two interceptions and Tamba Hali returned a fumble for the go-ahead touchdown.
Now I realize that I have only ever watched a few Bills games, but doesn’t it seem that the Bills always go up by a touchdown or two and then just give the game away? Especially at home? I feel like this is a reoccurring theme. I honestly don’t know how Bills fans continue to watch it. I give them a lot of credit.
Sure turnovers will pretty much lose a game for anyone, but the amount of dropped passes was what I found most appalling. For a moment I thought I was watching the New England Patriots and Aaron Dobson out there running routes and dropping balls that were thrown at the numbers. The only team that drops more passes in clutch times this year than the Bills may be the Patriots.
I still do not understand how you can catch footballs in high school, in college, and finally when you start getting paid it looks as if you dropped your gloves in pig grease and nothing will stick.
