Not many people gave the Oakland Raiders any chance to win even a couple games this year, however, they have surpassed win expectations with three already this season. Terrelle Pryor has also exceeded expectations with his legs and his arm in his first year as a starting NFL quarterback. The young quarterback has passed for 1,437 yards and five touchdowns while also leading the team in rushing with 485 yards and a touchdown — including the longest rushing touchdown by a quarterback in history. Pryor has developed some chemistry with his receivers — Denarius Moore, in particular. Moore has 32 catches for 513 yards and four touchdowns this season while giving the young quarterback some serious help in the passing game. Darren McFadden has struggled at times this season, rushing for 353 yards and four touchdowns.

The New York Giants could not have imagine the type of start they have had to the 2013 season. Starting the year with a 2-6 record and very few overall aspects of the team to be proud of, the Giants will be looking to win out in order to have a chance at contending in the division. Eli Manning was once an elite quarterback, but has thrown more interceptions, 15, than touchdowns, 10, this season. The former Super Bowl champ has accounted for 2,167 yards this season while Victor Cruz has carried the load in the receiving game, catching 47 passes for 677 yards and four touchdowns. Brandon Jacobs will need to step up to improve the 30th-ranked run game and he has had just one solid game this season, rushing for a total of 154 yards and three touchdowns on the year.

Defensively, the Raiders rank 19th in points allowed per game while also ranking 18th in total yards. However, Oakland’s passing defense is 25th in the league while the run defense is good for sixth — it could be another lackluster running day for the Giants. New York ranks 28th in the league in points allowed and 14th in total yards per game — it looks like the defense is improving every week.

PREDICTION: Raiders 17, Giants 28
