Buffalo Bills Heading In Right Direction Despite Loss to Pittsburgh Steelers
Well it looks as if the Buffalo Bills (3-7) will have to wait in order to end their losing streak against the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-6). The Bills haven’t won a game against the Steelers since 1999 and haven’t won a game in the Steel City since 1993. The Bills dropped this week’s game 23-10 and now fall to 9-15 all-time against the Steelers.
EJ Manuel returned to the starting lineup for the first time since the Thursday night tilt against the Cleveland Browns earlier in October. On paper it appeared that the Bills would be able to get back on track against the struggling Steelers, but we all know that games aren’t played on paper.
The Bills have one more game before their much needed bye week. What better way to head into the break than to beat Divisional opponent and rival in the New York Jets. This will be the second and final meeting between these two team this season. The Jets downed the Bills 27-20 back in Week 3 and will be coming off their bye week.
If the Bills are to make the playoffs for the first time since 1999, they will need to win their remaining six games and get some help from other teams. This team appears to be heading in the right direction and have put themselves in position to win several games this season with the exception of the game against the New Orleans Saints and today’s game against the Steelers even though the cards were stacked against them entering the season with a rookie head coach and a rookie quarterback.
