5 NFL Teams Guaranteed To Win

Mark J. Rebilas-USA Today Sports

Welcome to another fabulous edition of "5 NFL Teams That Will Definitely Win."

For those of you reading for the first time, it's really simple. I pick five games for the upcoming week, games that I feel the most comfortable for picking a straight up winner, and offer a quick explanation of each pick. Let's see how I did last week.

For the second week in a row, I went a meager 3-for-5 with my Week 11 picks. The two incorrect picks I made were the San Diego Chargers and Houston Texans. The crazy thing is, I felt better about both games later in the week. For the Texans, after coming really close in the last two games, they would be getting an Oakland Raiders team at home starting some guy at QB named Matt McGloin. It turns out McGloin might be pretty good; also, if I knew that Matt Schaub was going to be anywhere near this game, I might have reconsidered.

As for the Chargers, they were playing a distracted Miami Dolphins team -- a team with an already bad offensive line that didn’t have their starting center Mike Pouncey playing. I Thought the Chargers were a slam dunk, but they let me down. Is Norv Turner still coaching over there or what?

Hopefully I’ll get myself back on track for Week 12. I’ve chosen five good ones for this week, so come along, take a look at these slides, and nod in agreement, or have a puzzled look on your face and say, “What is this guy, a moron?” Enjoy the show, my good people.

5. New Orleans Saints

Derick E. Hingle-USA Today Sports

The only things that worry me about this game are that it's a division game, it's on a Thursday, and for the Atlanta Falcons, it's probably their Super Bowl for this abysmal season they're having. Then again, the New Orleans Saints are way better and should carve up these pansies.

4. Houston Texans

Kevin Jairaj-USA Today Sports

The Texans let me down big time last week, and like an idiot, I'm going to the well with them again. I'll tell you this though, if the Texans can't beat the Jacksonville Jaguars at home, then I'm done with them.

3. Kansas City Chiefs

Jason Bridge-USA Today Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs finally lost a game last week -- a road game against division rival Denver Broncos. The Chiefs will get their first chance to respond after a loss, and they'll have a great opportunity against the reeling Chargers in the friendly confines of Arrowhead Stadium.

2. Carolina Panthers

Sam Sharpe-USA Today Sports

This could be a classic letdown game for the Carolina Panthers after a huge Monday Night victory over the New England Patriots. The Panthers will be traveling on a short week to play a Dolphins team that could be easily overlooked. Personally, I think the Panthers will just keep doing what they're doing -- beating the teams they're supposed to.

1. San Francisco 49ers

The Washington Redskins stink, let's be honest. I think this has all the makings of a depressing, bad home team getting killed on Monday Night Football. At least the marketing geniuses will still be able to sell this game on Colin Kaepernick vs. Robert Griffin III. Of course, if this game gets really bad, then at least I can always change the channel and see John Cena making bad jokes and continuing to "rise above."
