After losing three-straight games, the Green Bay Packers would do anything to have quarterback Aaron Rodgers healthy again and in the lineup as the team’s playoff hopes are quickly slipping away. Rodgers suffered a broken collarbone during a Monday night matchup against the Chicago Bears and while there’s no telling when the quarterback may return–at least Rodgers can feel honored a new baby boy with the same injury was named after him on Sunday.

A Green Bay couple by the name of Kyle Dryer and Kristal Tyczkowski have named their new son Aaron Rodger Dryer after he was born with a broken left collarbone–just like the famous quarterback of the Packers. Nurses discovered the injury after little Aaron was born a few weeks early–which is why the couple decided to go with the name Aaron Rodger Dryer.

Just like the famous Rodgers, Dryer hopes his son will one day play football and if that does end up happening, chances are he will never hear the end of jokes when it comes to comparisons to the future Hall of Fame quarterback.

As for Rodgers and the Packers, the team hopes their quarterback can make a quick recovery soon as they’ve fallen to 5-5 after a loss to the New York Giants to fall one game behind the Detroit Lions in the NFC North. Even if Green Bay does fall short of the playoffs this year, at least Rodgers will know he made enough of an impact on one couple’s lives to name their son after him–which is simpley awesome.
