Final Game Of Philadelphia Eagles’ Season Will Be Huge

Jeffrey Pittenger-USA TODAY Sports

It was the place that sealed the fate of Andy Reid after two horrible losses. It was the place where Terrel Owens stood on the blue star and celebrated a touchdown. It is the place that every Philadelphia Eagles‘ fan despises, and the final game of the season against the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas will be huge for both teams.

This game will decide the division champ and guarantee a playoff birth. In the first game against the Cowboys, Nick Foles had his worst showing of the year, playing with injuries and looking like a shadow of his real self. They came into Lincoln Financial Field and walked out winners. Both teams have changed, and if Tony Romo‘s history in December is any indication, the Eagles have a strong chance to win.

Romo, as his normal pattern, chokes at the end of the season. The Eagles’ defense is in the midst of their most consistent play of the season. Foles is now upping his game to the point where Michael Vick said today that he needs to stay in, that there is no reason to pull him out when he is playing so well. This is a classy move by Vick, who is making sure to be healthy for his next one-year deal after the end of the season. Chip Kelly is picking the right plays and starting to keep defenses off balance.

The Eagles are facing a few tough games, but be sure to mark your calendar. It will be a street fight in Dallas, a final match of two rivals, and it will be for the division. The only question is, who wants it more? A win and the playoffs would be amazing for Kelly after the preseason low expectations. We can only wait, watch and enjoy the ride.
