The Oakland Raiders and Dallas Cowboys have proved two of the more enigmatic teams in the NFL this season and give a national audience another chance to figure them out on Thanksgiving.

Dallas does now carry momentum from their sweep of the New York Giants — typically the bane of their existence — after dispatching Big Blue 24-21 in the Meadowlands today. This puts the Cowboys in first place in the NFC East by virtue of their tiebreaker over the 6-5 Philadelphia Eagles

Oakland had a chance to move within a game of the wildcard but instead watched the Tennessee Titans rip their heart out Temple of Doom-style, 23-19 on a final-seconds throw by Ryan Fitzpatrick no less.

That will leave a bad taste.

NFL Week 13 Matchup, Game Time and TV Info: Oakland Raiders (4-7) at Dallas Cowboys (6-5) (4:30 p.m. ET Thursday on CBS)

Point Spread Prediction: Cowboys by 7 (Early line: Cowboys by 9.5)

Matt McGloin has far surpassed Terrelle Pryor‘s output already by stringing together two consecutive decent performances as Oakland fell a hair shy of 2-0. The undrafted rookie quarterback joins unheralded free-agent signing Rashad Jennings in showing up Oakland’s opening-day starters, as Jennings has suddenly reinvigorated the Raiders’ run game. Meanwhile, at receiver Rod Streater is emerging as the squad’s new top target.

Tony Romo put together another game-winning drive in New York today and this will be completely forgotten the next time he screws up. At home on Thanksgiving against a team with no secondary weapons to really handle Dez Bryant, it’s unlikely that the next Romo “choke” — as some like to call it — will come Thursday.

Key Matchup: DeMarcus Ware vs. Khalif Barnes

Future Hall of Famer against of the league’s worst tackles. Could make it a rough go of it for McGloin.
