20 NFL Storylines To Keep An Eye On in Week 13
Week 13 is a special week in the NFL. The action will of course start on Thursday, but this is no ordinary Thursday. Week 13's Thursday is Thanksgiving, and with it comes three games for fans to watch throughout the day.
What American football fan doesn't like Thanksgiving Thursday? The action will kick off this year as it usually does, with a battle in Detroit. The Lions are set to take on the Aaron Rodgers-less Packers from Ford Field, in a game that will have a major impact on the NFC North.
The Lions have yet to seize control of the division. They had a golden opportunity to do so in week 12, but they lost to the lowly Bucs. But despite back-to-back losses, the Lions still control their own destiny in 2013.
The Thursday afternoon game will featuring the Raiders traveling to take on the Cowboys. Dallas is once again one game above .500, but we all know they like to keep things even. Can the Cowboys win a game against at team they should be at go two games over .500, while putting the pressure on the Eagles?
The Thanksgiving night cap is going to feature some old school throwback football between the Steelers and Ravens. If you like high-scoring offensive minded football, you may want to watch something else Thursday night. Pittsburgh and Baltimore will be playing really solid defense and kicking lots of field goals.
So those are the three games that will kick things off in week 13. As for the rest of the games, here are 20 storylines to follow:
Can the Panthers Make it Eight Straight Wins?
Nobody predicted that the Carolina Panthers would be on a seven-game winning streak coming into week 13, but that's where they're at with a home game against Tampa Bay looming.
Can the Bucs Make it Four Straight Wins?
