Baltimore Ravens Winning Battle Against Pittsburgh Steelers is Huge

The final part of the Thanksgiving Day game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers was definitely one of the more dramatic finishes of the season. What could have been a blowout became a classic that went down to the final few minutes of craziness. Their hard fought victory wasn’t the first one of the season for the Ravens. The wars that this team has been in all season long are beginning to look like a precursor to a strong postseason run.

This was the seventh time the Ravens have played a game decided by three points or less and they have won three of those. Now however their modest 6 – 6 record puts them solidly in the final AFC playoff spot. The remaining schedule for the Ravens will probably include more hard fought games. Depending on how well they play those games, this not-so-good Super Bowl champion could find themselves in a decent situation again.

They will have problems against a few of the teams they play but if they fight as hard as they did in the game against the Steelers, they could be in good position when they play the Cincinnati Bengals in the season’s final game. Depending on how the Bengals play for the remainder of their schedule, that game could even be for the AFC North division win.

Don’t look now but the Ravens are starting to take on that hard-to-beat look that won them their championship last season. There are no guarantees but this right now is a team that almost no one would pick to win, including this writer, but that is finding ways to win in tough games. If they keep that up, don’t be surprised if they end up going deep into the playoffs once again.
