Peyton Manning is known for being a classy individual. There’s really no debate about it, he handles himself like a true pro at all times. So it was really no surprise when a fan sent him a wedding invitation recently, that Manning sent it back and politely declined with a message and autograph.
I believe that says ‘best wishes’ but I’m honestly not sure. It’s certainly the thought that counts, though.
As for Manning the football player, he’s once again got the Denver Broncos in line for a first round bye and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Last year the Broncos were in the same position, but Ray Lewis‘ Baltimore Ravens came to town and shocked the football world.
There’s no question that this year’s Broncos have enough talent to make a run at the Lombardi trophy. Obviously, the offensive side of the ball is about as good as it gets. You certainly can’t say the same about their defense, but the unit has played okay throughout the season. However for a run at the title, the Denver defense will need to step up its game.
Manning is still on pace to break passing records this season, while likely taking home his record-setting fifth league MVP award. I just don’t see how you can give the award to anyone else at this point in the season. Regardless of whether he breaks the passing yards and touchdown throws marks, Peyton should once again be voted most valuable.
