Line: Denver (-11)

The Denver Broncos have been one of the best teams in the league this season behind the strong MVP-type play of Peyton Manning. Although Manning is getting up there in age, he seems to get better each and every year — it’s unreal to think that he just had major surgery and missed an entire year of football two seasons ago. He has passed for 4,125 yards and 41 touchdowns on the year — leading the league in both — while hitting Demaryius Thomas 67 times for 1,061 yards and 10 touchdowns. Eric Decker is coming off a game in which he had four touchdown catches and now has seven on the year with 971 yards and 63 catches. Knowshon Moreno has led the 13th-best rushing offense in the league with 842 yards and nine touchdowns on the year.

On the other side of the field, the Tennessee Titans are fighting to keep their heads above water in the playoff race and it might not be likely since Jake Locker went down with an injury and has been filled in for by Ryan Fitzpatrick. It will be interesting to see how this team adjusts to playing with a backup quarterback. Young wide out Kendall Wright has been impressive this season as the team’s top receiver, catching 71 passes for 840 yards and two touchdowns while Nate Washington is close behind with 41 catches for 647 yards and two touchdowns. Chris Johnson has perked up in the run game recently, accounting for 774 yards and four touchdowns on the year, improving his yards per carry average to 3.8.

Defensively, the Titans have a top-tier unit this season. Ranking 11th in points allowed, ninth in total yards allowed and seventh in passing yards allowed per game should be enough to win some games, but the offense hasn’t quite been there. Denver hasn’t been very impressive on defense this year, on the other hand. The Broncos rank 26th in points allowed, 27th in total yards allowed and 29th in passing yards allowed, but they have the seventh-best run defense in the NFL.

PREDICTION: Titans 16, Broncos 34
