One of the things that has gone unnoticed lately is how consistent New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been over the last few games.

Brady was once thought to be hitting his decline given his inconsistent play over the first half of the regular season. However, he has put those fears to rest lately. The Patriots have scored at least 20 points in the last six games and more than 30 points in three of the last four games.

That output can definitely be accredited to Brady’s play. He absolutely lit up the Pittsburgh Steelers a few weeks ago for what was definitely his most consistent performance so far. Then, following a bye week, he fared pretty well against the Carolina Panthers, a team which arguably boasts the best defense in the NFL.

The last two games against the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans have started poorly for Brady, but the future Hall-Of-Fame quarterback has led some furious second-half comebacks. He has helped generate 61 points in the second half of his last two games. Of course, one of those games went to overtime, but 61 points in about 73 minutes of football is still impressive.

So what is the key to Brady’s resurgence? The return of some major weapons like Rob Gronkowski and Shane Vereen have certainly helped the cause. Brady has also been able to turn Julian Edelman into a household name this season while getting the likes of Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins involved.

This is the same Tom Brady that Patriots fans know and love. He is going to keep this team afloat headed into the playoffs and should at least be able to guide the Patriots to another AFC Championship Game. The rest will be up to the guys around him.
