After being 0-8 to start the campaign, something clicked in the Jags after the bye week and they have won four of their last five. Based on their hot play, they will continue the winning streak against the Buffalo Bills at the EverBank Field.
For one, it needs to be considered that two opposites will clash on Sunday. The Jaguars’ rushing attack has been very effective in recent weeks and they will have a golden chance against one of the worst defensive units against the run. Maurice Jones-Drew has been reborn this season, and even though he’s a bit banged up he should be ready to go meaning he will be a huge weapon for the offense led by Chad Henne.
Henne has also stepped it up in recent weeks, throwing four TD passes in the last two games. Players like Ace Sanders, Marcedes Lewis and Cecil Shorts III now have a bigger role offensively, and as long as Henne can continue being accurate the team will have plenty of chances to keep piling up wins.
The fact that the Bills have regressed this season will also be a factor. Buffalo has been atrocious on the road in 2013, and there is not enough evidence to believe they will turn things around against the Jags. Simply put, Jacksonville is playing too well to allow an upset in front of their fans.
Everything is set for the Jaguars to extend their winning streak. If they top the Bills, it would be their fifth win over the course of their last six games in what would continue being a huge turnaround when compared to their start of the season.
