Should the New Orleans Saints Be Concerned After Loss To St. Louis Rams?

The New Orleans Saints have been one of the best teams in the NFL this season… at home. After their most recent loss to the St. Louis Rams, should the Saints be concerned?

New Orleans has now lost two out of its last three games. The loss to Seattle was understandable since it was on the road and once again, it was to Seattle. However, the Saints should not be losing to teams like the Rams this late in the season.

You better believe that the Saints should be concerned as a result. This team is unbeatable at home, but not every game is going to be at home for them. All four of their losses have come on the road. That is all fine and dandy if New Orleans has home-field advantage throughout the playoff, but that honor is going to go to the Seahawks.

Still, New Orleans is one of the best teams in the NFL, but it cannot just shrug off the loss to St. Louis. It will close out the regular season against the Carolina Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Who knows if the Saints will rest their players for the playoffs or not, but the game against the Panthers will not be easy, despite the fact that they already beat them this season by the score of 31-13.

Regardless, New Orleans has some work to do, but it does have Drew Brees on its team, so there is always that. This is still easily a playoff quality team and it is ranked No. 2 in the NFC and all.
