Atlanta Falcons safety Thomas DeCoud seems to be doing okay and will most likely be out on the field with his teammates to face one of the best teams that the NFL has to offer: the San Francisco 49ers.

After suffering a concussion against the Green Bay Packers two weeks ago, DeCoud says that he is feeling fine and that understands the severity a concussion can have on a person. Despite missing the latest game against the Washington Redskins, He has been cleared by doctors to resume normal activities and will most likely re-take his spot. With Zeka Motta filling in the blanks, DeCoud will once again be considered one of the defensive backbones for this team.

DeCoud received the concussion after his attempt to tackle the Packers’ Eddie Lacy at the goal line. Missing a couple of games was enough for DeCoud, who is anxious to get back onto the field and contribute where he can despite having statistically one of the worst seasons ever. With him back in the lineup, the Falcons will field an athletic group of defenders in the secondary against a solid team that has the components to be very explosive.
