Line: Tennessee (-5)

It hasn’t been the best of seasons for the Tennessee Titans who have started the year with a 5-9 record. Losing quarterback Jake Locker in the beginning and middle of the season didn’t help the team’s playoff hopes at all as Ryan Fitzpatrick has taken over at the QB position, passing for 2,107 yards and 13 touchdowns. Young wide out Kendall Wright has come on strong late in the season, catching 85 passes for 1,007 yards and two scores while Nate Washington is second on the team with 50 catches for 763 yards and two scores. Chris Johnson has also been heating up later on in the season, rushing for 860 yards and five touchdowns after a lethargic start to the year.

After starting the year 0-8, the Jacksonville Jaguars have come on strong as of late, winning four of the past six games and putting together a solid run heading into the 2014 season. Chad Henne leads the 26th-ranked passing attack with just 2,673 yards and a mere 10 touchdowns while hitting Cecil Shorts a team-high 66 times for 777 yards and three touchdowns — all team-highs. Maurice Jones-Drew is a dangerous offensive weapon when healthy, rushing for 719 yards and five scores. The offense hasn’t been very impressive this season, ranking last in points scored and second-to-last in total yards per game.

Defensively, Jacksonville hasn’t been very impressive this season. The Jaguars rank 30th in points allowed and 28th in total yards allowed per game while also ranking 30th in rushing yards allowed. Jacksonville has been solid against the pass, however, ranking 19th in the league. Tennessee ranks much higher in all defensive categories than Jacksonville. The Titans rank 19th in points allowed, 14th in total yards allowed and 10th in passing yards allowed.

PREDICTION: Titans 21, Jaguars 24
