Bengals vs. Ravens: Who Won’t Be Suiting Up In Week 17?

Rob Grabowski – USA TODAY Sports

When the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals square off at 1:00 p.m. ET at Paul Brown Stadium, both sides of the equation will be missing key components of their starting core and will have to adjust on the fly without having their respective contributions.

One of the more consistent defensive lineman for the Ravens, Arthur Jones, will not be active for today’s game as he is dealing with a concussion that labeled him as questionable for the Bengals’ game regardless. Jones has been a key component along a defensive line that has struggled at generating pressure in recent weeks. In all likelihood, this means that DeAngelo Tyson will fill the void left by Jones.

The Bengals will be without their two top tight ends as Tyler Eifert and Jermaine Gresham are both missing in action for Sunday’s game. The rookie Eifert has been dealing with a neck injury and was listed as doubtful on the final injury report of the week. Gresham was listed as questionable with a hamstring injury, so it appears as if veteran Alex Smith will shoulder the responsibilities of both even though he is dealing with a concussion himself.

The rest of the inactives for the Ravens look like this: cornerback Asa Jackson, safety Omar Brown, offensive lineman Ryan Jensen, wide receiver Deonte Thompson, tight end Dallas Clark and linebacker John Simon.

Cincinnati’s remaining list looks like this: cornerback Terence Newman, defensive tackle Devon Still, running back Rex Burkhead, wide receiver Ryan Whalen and offensive lineman Tanner Hawkinson.

Bengals' Burfict Has Experience With Illegal Plays

Everyone wants to say that Vontaze Burfict's actions were reactionary to the Steelers from earlier in the game. Take a look at this video from last week against the Ravens, and also last year against the Panthers when he wrenched Greg Olsen's ankle following a play, and you'll realize this guy's nothing but a punk.
