There are plenty of great players to keep an eye on heading into the 2014 NFL Draft, but no player will have more attention than Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel over the next couple of months–especially since he’s officially declared for the draft.
As expected, the former Heisman Trophy winner declared for the NFL Draft on Wednesday as he will most likely be selected as one of the top quarterbacks from this year’s class. When looking at some of the greatest quarterbacks from college football over the last couple of years, it’s safe to say nobody has come close to achieving what Manziel accomplished over his last two years at Texas A&M as he made history during the 2012 season by becoming the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy award.
To be clear, Manziel has officially submitted declaration papers to #NFL for inclusing in 2014 draft, part of record 80 underclassmen.

Just look at the numbers alone over the last two years from Manziel and there’s no question he has what it takes to make an impact at the NFL level. Manziel has displayed some incredible performances at the college level over the last two seasons and football fans are anxious to see what he can bring to the table playing at the professional level–especially when it comes to his ability to making plays on the run.
There are plenty of teams in desperate need of help at the quarterback position (including the Houston Texans–who have the No. 1 pick) and the best part about drafting a quarterback like Manziel is he’s the type of impact player who will help fill up the stands. Now that it’s finally official, fans will only have to wait a few more months before finding out where Johnny Football ends up in the pros–which is exciting for anyone who enjoys watching football.
