There are plenty of haters out there who wanted Peyton Manning to step away from the game. Rob Parker in particular comes to mind, but that is the same dude who called Robert Griffin III a “cornball brother”; I’m sorry… (pause) just because an African American athlete has a college degree and a caucausian wife does not make him whatever it is exactly that a cornball brother is.
Sorry, off that tangent now.
Tonight though, Manning got sweet redemption over the haters in a playoff win that he will surely remember for the rest of his life. Always rooting for Peyton here at Rant Sports, because he is just a freaking nice guy; he has a children’s hospital named after him for goodness.
Best of luck to Manning and the Denver Broncos next week as they go up against the New England Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady. The Pats had a surprisingly effective run game in their win, and the matchup between the rushing attack and the staunchy Broncos defense will probably break the game open for whoever ends up getting to play in the Big Apple. That is all for today on the football topics, but as always will leave ya with a bit of fortune cookie wisdom.
