A huge sleeper in the 2014 class, Kennedy has the prototypical size you look for in an NFL quarterback. He possesses a strong arm, above average accuracy and enough athleticism to move in the pocket. His college career has been a bit disappointing, but the physical tools are there.
Projection: 6th-7th Round
While Morris’ college career never quite panned out, there’s still hope that he can turn his potential into production. If he can improve on his accuracy and decision making, the Hurricanes’ quarterback has the athleticism and arm strength to get the job done at the next level.
Projection: 5th-6th Round
An outstanding athlete with strong improvisational skills and an above-average arm, Shaw will never be a starter in the NFL. His never-quit attitude coupled with a well-rounded skill set could be enough to land him a backup job, though.

It’s not very often an NFL-caliber quarterback comes out of the Ivy League, but Mathews looks like a pro passer. With outstanding size, a big arm and improving accuracy, the Cornell product could do enough during pre-draft activities to convince a team to take him in the middle of Day 3.

Prior to a late-season ACL tear, Murray looked like a second-round pick. While his physical tools are a bit underwhelming, he’s a proven leader and playmaker who’s smart with the ball and knows how to manage the game. His knee injury, though, will make teams hesitant to draft him.

Regardless of the records and accolades that accompany him, McCarron will never be anything more than a game manager who occasionally makes big plays. He leaned on the overwhelming talent on Alabama’s roster throughout his career, but won’t be able to do the same in the NFL.
Projection: 3rd Round
The most intriguing small-school passer of the 2014 class, Garoppolo spent his entire college career shredding opponents and breaking records. The level of competition wasn’t great, but he’s played well against some of the best teams in the FCS and has all of the physical tools to be a starter in the NFL.

A rather underrated quarterback, Fales has been one of the most accurate passers in college football over the last few years. Some are concerned about his footwork and release, but the fact remains that he makes plays down the field. Don’t overlook Fales as a potential future starter.

One of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the 2014 class, Smith has flown under the radar throughout his career but is ready to emerge as a potential star. After helping Wyoming to regain some semblance of national relevance, Smith is ready to take his talents to the league.

At the beginning of the season, Boyd looked like a Top 10 pick. Unfortunately for him, an up-and-down senior campaign watched his stock drop significantly. There’s still plenty to be excited about with the Clemson product, but he might fall a bit farther than originally expected.

Even after a late-season ACL tear, there’s a good chance that Mettenberger will come off the board early when the 2014 NFL Draft gets under way. He’s got NFL size, a huge arm and the pocket awareness to extend plays. As long as he can step up and prove his maturity, the ceiling is high with Mettenberger.

Despite drawing comparisons to Andrew Luck over the second half of the season, there’s still plenty of concern that Bortles isn’t all he’s cracked up to be. The Golden Knights’ star quarterback is athletic, smart, and a proven leader, but he has a number of question marks that must be addressed.

One of the greatest improvisers in the history of football, Manziel has plenty to offer in terms of NFL potential. He’s an elite athlete, he has the arm to make all of the throws and is a proven winner. Unfortunately, his size, durability and decision making could all keep him from being a long-term starter.

The younger brother of former No. 1 pick David Carr, the Fresno State product has enjoyed an extremely successful college career. After putting on a riveting display during his senior season, Carr has emerged as one of the top quarterbacks of the 2014 class.

The consensus No. 1 pick, Bridgewater still has a number of critics questioning whether or not he’s ready to be the franchise quarterback to come out of the 2014 class. Based on what he’s shown throughout his football career, though, all of the evidence is there to prove that he’ll be a valuable asset for the Texans.
