The official countdown to Super Bowl XLVIII has begun. We're down to the last game of the year, with the conference championship games now in the rearview mirror. The road to the SB for both teams wasn't particularly bumpy, however.

In today's NFL it's rare to see a number one seed matchup in the SB. Both the Broncos and Seahawks cruised through their respective conferences this season and earned first round byes in the playoffs. But unlike many years in the past, there aren't any surprise or hot teams in this year's Super Bowl. It's nothing but the best in 2014.

As football fans, we should be so lucky to get this type of matchup. This is arguably the best SB matchup of all time. We've got the number one offense going up against the number one defense. On top of that, we've got the number one offense of all time in this game, which happens to be led by the guy who just set multiple single-season QB records. You just can't ask for much more.

The oddsmakers believe that the Broncos should win this game, but they're not overly confident in that pick. The official line is Denver (-2.5), which means that it's really anybody's game. However, there's no denying that the Broncos are more than worthy of being the favorite.

But we all know the Super Bowl is about much more than football. It's about the commercials, the half time show and the many people that get involved. Here are 10 interesting facts about this year's big game:
