Peyton Manning may feel like he’s a long way from home. The conditions aren’t expected to be favorable for Sunday’s big game. The wind in Met Life Stadium is always brutal, and their may be precipitation as well as blustery conditions.
In other words, Manning is going to need to fight through it. Manning has had a history of not always playing his best when the temperatures drop. If weather truly becomes a big factor the Seattle Seahawks would certainly have the edge.
However, I believe Manning is on a mission. As long as the conditions aren’t totally miserable Manning will find a way to put points on the scoreboard. The bigger question is will the Denver Broncos defense come to play? This game may come down to which defense makes a big play to change the momentum.
Signs point to the Seahawks making that play. Manning is going to try to make sure that it never comes to that. He has too many weapons to play with. While the Seahawks may get Percy Harvin back, the edge is still heavily titled toward the Broncos in terms of offensive firepower.
Each team faces its biggest test of the season. Manning with this stingy defense. Vice Versa with the Seahawks, all this firepower on offense and a Hall of Fame quarterback. This should be a Super Bowl for the ages.
A legend trying to cap his career off with another Super Bowl ring. A team on the rise trying to make their mark on the league and put the other 31 teams on notice. Strength vs. strength. The No. 1 offense vs. the No. 1 defense. Strap in, folks. It’s going to be a heck of a ride.
